Who We Are

We are a team of one full-stack developer (George) and one designer/front-end developer.

We both got our education and work experience in Copenhagen, Denmark and since recently we moved to Athens, Greece to build ORCAVO while getting help with our 2yo daughter.

We are based in "hygge" SOHO space in Athens, Greece. In our humble shop we consume lots of coffee and produce digital products that make our clients happy and us - proud 🤓

Most of the time we have found ourselves collaborating with larger companies as consultants by becoming a part of their development team, but we also love taking up projects from local businesses creating online presence for them or (re)designing and developing their websites.

We practice transparent collaboration - the client is always welcome to join our stand-ups, follow the progress by having access to our project board and provide us with valuable feedback every step of the way. At the moment we do not take more than 2 projects at a time in order to maintain focus. This also means that there usually is a waiting list for new projects.

Community

Giving back to the community is important to us. We believe, that being able to give back is a success on its own. Being fortunate to get so much great energy from within our team and our clients, we decided to focus on how can we be active and fruitful members of our community. We came up with 4 categories:

Every month we pick one category. It doesn't have to be tech or design related. We care to be active and fruitful members of the community around us by supporting whoever is in need.

Why Orcavo?

Why are you so cheap?

We manage to keep our prices low by keeping our company's expenses low. That includes keeping our team and our management style - lean. An organized and well established procedure is vital for the success of any product. We follow a custom-tailored agile methology in order to plan, estimate and track our development.

What programming languages do you prefer?

We take pride in our deep knowledge of the Javascript ecosystem, especially in ReactJS. But code languages are only tools, it might change over time and per project - the mind is what remains the most important ingredient.

Why are you so expensive?

Remember the saying "cheap person pays twice"? That is exactly the case in design and development world. You can always find similar services done cheaper, but you will pay for it in the future, when you need "aftersale" assistance. A simple change in design or update for the site will cost you a fortune. Often, you end up rebuilding the whole thing from scratch! We work hard to make sure that the product we give will be high quality, easily maintainable and scalable.

As you see, our prices are fair for both parties included! :)

I already have a design of website I want to make. Can I get it developed at Orcavo?

Sure thing! If you desire we can still give you a few suggestions regarding the design, but only if you wish so!

I want a blog but I don't know any coding. What to do?

Here, at Orcavo, we always take under consideration the clients needs and skills. Hiring an in-house developers team to maintain your newly acquired website can be pricy. To help you, we will offer you a fair priced package for maintaining your website. If needed, we will set up an easy to use interface to accommodate your website usage needs. We will be there for you in case of need, fear not!
